The COVID-19 global pandemic has heavily effected many industries, especially the catering and hospitality sector. During this time abm catering have helped to create the Food Service Circle, along with other contract caterers and industry experts to come together and support our colleagues within the industry.
The Food Service Circle (FSC) is a support network for the food service and contract catering professionals. Founded by the leaders of the UK’s food service companies, their aim is to help everyone impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by sharing ideas, insights and job opportunities.
This network will help you to develop your interview skills, give you access to the latest vacancies and keep you in touch with what is happening in our sector. The FSC collaboration is an initiative created by the UKHospitality Foodservice Forum where leading contract catering businesses from across the sector regularly meet to discuss issues within the industry.
As part of just some of the services provided by the FSC every week for the next few months the platform will house webinars and guidance for those seeking employment, leaders from each of the contract caterers involved in the FSC will host insight sessions.
Next week abm catering are taking over the platform to bring tips and advice to the FSC audience. We will be hosting three webinars as part of this take over;
The first webinar, hosted by our Group Finance Director, Neil Floyd who will be offering some helpful tips on searching for your next role, ensuring you submit a successful job application and assessing your skillset.
Our second webinar will be hosted by Sam Kilgour, Head of HR & Compliance. Sam will be talking about the Power of Positivity and why this is so important during the current climate, especially when it comes to job hunting!
Our final webinar is hosted by Paul Smith, Chef Director who will be discussing the benefits of gaining new skills and in turn being transferable to any new and future roles.
Things are different right now but don’t lose hope, the end is in sight and life just needs to be adapted slightly in the interim. We believe that this programme, led by the FSC, will create so many more opportunities and will bring the industry together to support each other through the next few months.
